Building conditions described by the Board of Education:
Jefferson High School, grades 9-12
Rumsey (vocational courses in Hedgesville): Free to E Panhandle students. May take academic courses there as well as vocational. Courses reviewed yearly, based on student enrollment, not job surveys. Budget comes from local school systems & state. Surveys of graduates' outcomes 3 years later. Students may drive directly, or take bus to Jefferson High School & then bus to Rumsey. One Carnegie unit credit toward high school graduation given for bus trip.

Appalachian Regional Cooperative is a homeschool support group with a monthly newsletter, annual conference, many monthly activities and an email list where members can exchange information. There are no fees to join. Anyone wishing to become a member can contact Sandi Roberts, sandir@hotmail.com
St James TORCH (Traditions of Roman Catholic Homes): A Catholic home school support group which meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:45 pm in the basement of St James Church in Charles Town.  Activities include: field trips, co-ops and an email list where members can exchange information. There are no fees to join. Anyone wishing to become a member may contact Dawn Timberlake at dawn@timberlakes.net.
